54′ Metal Repair

First things first. The 54′ is pretty solid but does have a handful of small rust spots. I’m going to do this right, so I’m going to start by cutting out the rust and either buying patch panels, or fabricating patches. I know how to weld but have not done much of this type of work. Does anyone have any advice?

I’ve got some patch panels for a 54′ if you need them. Let me know!
Try to grind smooth at least an inch or two of steel around the rust you remove. Do you have a cut off wheel or snippers?
